Install Android 4.0.3 ICS and HTC Sense 4.0 on your HTC Sensation

If you owe a HTC Sensation then here a fair chance to install Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.0on your device. This has been recently leaked and all the users of HTC can get the Sense 4.0 user interface which is awesome. As this is in alpha stage which means it has bugs or issues such as camera, Bluetooth, mass storage, as well as some animations that are currently disabled. The update procedure is going and you can go for it.

Pre-Requisites

1. Rooted HTC Sensation with ClockworkMod Recovery installed
2. Computer
3. USB cable
4. The devices firmware must be of version 3.24 or higher
5. Keep backups of all data separately before flashing your device.
6. The battery power of the HTC phone must be 60% at least, so that it keeps the device active all through the process.

Steps to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS and HTC Sense 4.0

Step 1: Download Virtuous S4X ROM and save it on your computer.
Step 2: Via USB cable connect the HTC Sensation to your computer.
Step 3: Now, copy the Zip file that you have downloaded into the root of the internal SD card.
Step 4: Switch off the phone and boot into Clokworkmod Recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Down button and Power button simultaneously.
Step 5: Select the ‘Recovery’ option on the HBOOT screen.
Step 6: Inside the ClockworkMod Recovery, make a Nandroid backup on existing ROM.
Step 7: Backup in ClockworkMod by selecting Backup and Restore->Backup.
Step 8: Wipe out the following data from the device:

Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset-> Wipe Data/Factory reset
Select Wipe Cache Partition->confirm
Select Advanced from the main menu-> Wipe Dalvik Cache->Confirm

Step 9: After cleaning select Install zip from SD card.
Step 10: Select Choose zip from SD card-> search for downloaded file that was transferred and then select it after you found it.
Step 11: Confirm ‘Yes’ and then install ‘virtuous_s4x.zip’ (downloaded in step 1). The process will take 10 minutes to finish the installation.
Step 12: After the installation, select Go back-> Reboot system now to reboot.
Step 13: After the rebooting, disable the animations by selecting Setting->Display and turn off the animations.

Your HTC Sensation is installed with Android 4.0.3 ICS and HTC Sense 4.0. through Virtuous S4X ROM.
